GENERAL INFORMATION:

We would like to share some information with our large Agnihotra Family, scattered all over the planet. As you are all aware, the power of the Homa Fires we are daily performing, is ABSOLUTELY necessary at this time to provide sustenance and great healing energy for the atmosphere of the Earth and beyond. The information and knowledge about this simple Vedic Scientific Solution for so many of the problems, confronting us today, is desperately needed by thousands and vital to the well-being of the Earth, the atmosphere and all living beings. Our experience is that THIS ONE SMALL PRACTICE - AGNIHOTRA - MAKES A MONUMENTAL DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF ALL THOSE IT TOUCHES. To share this knowledge with as many people as possible, as soon as possible, becomes more urgent now as the suffering and uncertainty increases with every moment. We have the power in our hands to take positive action in this regard. I am asking you to please consider the following two major projects, in which you can take part if you choose, and which will definitely make a beneficial difference for thousands of people.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

1.) For all the preparations to be done, the SOMAYAG itself and the food for all visiting people, we would be happy to get some support in the form of donations. These donations may be paid direct into the same Somayag account or collected in each country and then collectively sent to the Somayag account (details of which are given at the end of this mail) .

Since the last Somayag, work has continued at the Go Shala. A new unit for extra cows has been completed. The Soma Yajyna Shala itself has been completed with tiled roof and the eight round houses are currently being finished along with some extra landscaping work. The landscaping work from last year has been largely stabilized.

SOMAYAG SHALA with completed tiled roof

Upgrading of the 8 new round accommodation houses

Landscaping and gardens have been extended

Above photographs of some of the projects at Maheshwar Goshala which have been completed since the last Somayag, or which are currently underway. The Yajnya Shala has been finished with a beautiful tiled roof. As the building is 100 feet by 75 feet, this was a big investment. We are currently upgrading the 8 new round accommodation houses, the landscaping and gardens have been extended, vegetable gardens are being prepared for organic food supply.  Some remaining work in that area still has to be completed.

Once again, we offer different t-shirts which can be ordered. Again beautiful t-shirts have been designed for the coming Soma Yajnya 2009, by Aaron Kidd (see photos below), who also designed the original 2007 Somayag t-shirt which was very popular. Once again, this t-shirt would make an ideal Christmas present.

Additional projects which we would like to complete before the next Somayag are:
- construction of a western style kitchen complete with gas oven, modern facilities and a juice bar
- a fence surrounding the whole place because of stray animals destroying gardens etc,
- construction of extended staff quarters for permanent staff,
- maintenance and upgrading of existing accommodation,
- extension of the solar hot-water systems and stabilization of water and power systems.
- Standard world system for bottling water is Reverse Osmosis. We already have 2 units working. We wish to add one more unit.

2.) PROJECT - BOOK FUND:
Right now, we are in a position to introduce the writings of Shree Vasant Paranjpe to a much wider audience than so far. At present, it is our intention to reprint all of Shree Vasant's books in English and other languages, as well as Parvati's book "Messenger of the Sacred Fire" in order to spread the knowledge of Homa Therapy to more and more people. For this purpose, we are setting up a special Book Fund. Anyone, in any country can contribute any size of donation, to make this project a reality. The need is urgent. We request the donations to be collected by the main Centres in each country and then sent regularly to a special account set up for this purpose. As soon as we have enough money for the paper, we will begin the printing. This project is being organized by Karin and Anne, so contact with them can made through this email ID (bookfund@yahoo.com).
There is a second way you can help. Aaron Kidd, has produced and donated a beautiful t-shirt design for the Maheshwar Goshala, which is the name given to the place on the Narmada River where many powerful Yajnyas are being performed and where Shree Vasant Paranjpe currently resides, mostly in silence. It is possible to purchase these t-shirts to fund the Book project. These cotton T-Shirts would provide an ideal Christmas gift for family and friends. The t-shirts are 100% cotton, legally certified organic by SKAL, International Certification Agency from Netherlands (now called Control Union). They are available in sizes from x/s to xxx/l and have the normal high neck style, which is suitable for women and gents alike. Price per piece is US$22. On request, we will give discounts for larger quantities. We would first of all like to establish a centre in each country which is willing to collect donations and payment for t-shirt orders and then arrange pick-up or postage of each order of t-shirts. If you are interested in providing this type of service in your country, please contact Karin or Anne on this email (bookfund@yahoo.com).

IF YOU WANT TO COME TO INDIA FOR THE SOMAYAG:

Please contact somayag@yahoo.com  and you will be sent a form to complete with all your relevant details. CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING AT THE GO SHALA OR IN A NEARBY HOTEL IS GIVEN ONLY WHEN WE RECEIVE A COMPLETED FORM FROM YOU. WHETHER YOU STAY AT THE GO SHALA OR IN A HOTEL, FOOD IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE AS IS TRANSPORT TO AND FROM THE GO SHALA.
Looking forward to see many of you for this special occasion here.
With warm regards,
Anne Godfrey, Karin Heschl, Ulrich Berk  (Organizing committee)

SOMAYAG UPDATE

As you are all probably aware, 9th February 2009 is the date fixed for the next Somayag to be held at Maheshwar Goshala, Madhya Pradesh, India. We welcome all of you to attend this major healing event.
To accommodate all the international and national visitors it is necessary for certain infrastructure to be improved and developed. Much of this has already been achieved since the last Somayag and much still remains to be completed.

Following are the projects which are in progress since the last Somayag:

Fencing and gate Rs 200,000
New kitchen building with Dining hall and storage rooms Rs 900,000
New community buildings including workers’ accommodation Rs 200,000
Upgrading accommodation including round houses (roofing, plumbing, electricals, pointing) Rs 500,000
Food during Somayag Rs 300,000
New Solar Hot Water Systems Rs 130,000
Steps to the Narmada River Rs 200,000
Tents Rs 60,000
Total is Rs 2,490,000 which is approximately USD 52,000.

It is not an ordinary task and we need help.

We are writing to request each of you to donate whatever you can afford to the Somayag fund. All donations, big or small, will add up and make a big difference to our work. Whoever this letter reaches, please do not think that even $20 will not help. It will. Please give your donation to the HOMA Centre in your country or send to Lisa and Richard Powers who will bank the collected funds in the Somayag Bank Account.

With grateful thanks,
Anne Godfrey
